National Seed Swap Day
Seeds are one of the commodities in gardening that should NEVER be thrown away! If stored properly in a cool, dark place, seeds can last for years. While you're going through your seeds from previous years and flipping through this year's seed catalogs save some seeds and bring them to our seed swap hosted at Matthews Community Farmers' Market on January 25, 2025 from 9:00 - 11:00 am.
-
Seeds, Seeds, and More Seeds!
Can't have a garden swap without seeds! If you have any old seeds, opened or unopened, or seeds you have harvested yourself bring them with you on January 25th and share alongside your Matthews neighbors.
-
Nursery Containers
Why throw away gently used and clean garden container or nursery pots when there are those out there looking to expand their container garden? Bring them to the swap too!
-
Gardening Books
Have any old gardening or cooking books you've already memorized? Looking to expand your garden library further? Bring your old gardening books and swap them for some new knowledge!
-
And So Much More!
Our seed swap is located at the central patio of Matthews Community Farmer's Market. The market is home to so many amazing local vendors. Grab some coffee, some seeds, and check them all out!

Tomorrow's Garden
Seed SelectionWe wouldn't be asking for seed donations if we didn't make some donations ourselves! We will have a little bit of everything we have grown and offered over the past few years.
Last But Not Least... YOU!
There's no such thing as too many seeds. Remember to clean out your seed collection, or gather any seeds you save and bring them to the seed swap!
But Wait... You Sell Seeds?
Yes, I do. Believe it or not, though, Tomorrow's Garden is a one-lady show. From growing, harvesting, processing, creating the artwork for the packets, and showing up to the markets when I can both with seeds and knowledge - it's a lot! But there is only so much I can offer as one person and there are so many seeds that need a great home - and homes that need a steady supply of food. The least I can do is take some time to get seeds donated by myself and from other seed companies and make sure those seeds stay out of the garbage and into the hands of those who need them. All I ask in return is to spread the message far and wide!
