If you have a cat, or wish to be added to the official cat distribution system, then Catnip is an essential perennial for your garden. Catnip is perennial herb that dies back in the winter but sprouts back from the roots in the spring. Can be dried for human consumption too to make a hot tea to help you sleep. Also can be used as a gorgeous landscaping bush with delicate flowers. Bush gets larger every year; with great care can get up to 5 feet tall.
